The Hague Historical Museum tells the stories of The Hague and its people. From the Dutch Golden Age and the House of Orange to the city as it is today, the museum’s exhibitions, unique collection and diverse programme show how The Hague has evolved over time.
The museum building on the Hofvijver is currently undergoing renovation. The renewed museum is scheduled to reopen in 2028, with new exhibition spaces and more room for activities and encounters.
During Museumnacht Den Haag, the museum is temporarily hosted at Inter-City, a new cultural hub on the edge of the Binckhorst. Inter-City is an initiative and an extension of the renowned Hague hotspot PIP. Set between the railway tracks, this 8,000 m² site offers indoor and outdoor spaces for culture, encounters and experimentation.
