The Mauritshuis is one of the Netherlands’ leading museums and houses a world-renowned collection of 17th-century Dutch paintings. The collection comprises approximately 850 works, displayed across two historic buildings: the Mauritshuis, a 17th-century city palace on the Plein in The Hague, commissioned by its namesake, Johan Maurits van Nassau-Siegen, and Gallery Prince William V on the Buitenhof, founded by Stadholder Prince William V.
