The Huygens Museum invites visitors to marvel and takes them on a journey through 2,000 years of history. Its two historic locations in the heart of Voorburg form the beating heart of the museum.
The Notarishuis, one of the oldest buildings on the Herenstraat, tells the story of the rich history of Voorburg and Leidschendam. Here, visitors discover the Roman settlement of Forum Hadriani, the extraordinary life of Princess Marianne, and the region’s vibrant artistic and cultural heritage. With several temporary exhibitions each year, there is always something new to explore. The Notarishuis is a dynamic meeting place where past and present come together in a historic setting.
Did you know? Both locations are just a 15-minute bike ride from The Hague Central Station and a 5-minute walk from Voorburg Station.
