During Museum Night, various pop-up performances by students of the Royal Conservatoire can be experienced.
Title of the piece: For the End of all Forms
Performer: Tomaj György, clarinet
Composer: Edelgeist
As the opening movement of Symphony No. 0, this work unfolds as a series of reverse variations: the variations are heard first, followed by the theme at the end. This creates a circular structure in which beginning and end coincide — the piece can also be performed in reverse order, giving it a palindromic character.
For the End of all Forms is dedicated to death and explores, through sound, the dissolution and rebirth of musical form — a meditative journey to the moment when all form dissolves.
* There will be nine performances of approximately 8–10 minutes each, taking place every 20 minutes between 7:00 PM and 10:00 PM.
